Ebubechukwu Uba

Ebubechukwu Uba is a first-year Doctoral Student in Information Science. She has previously worked for legal corporations in Nigeria as an IT consultant and information professional. She is interested in digital information access and information literacy designs, using co-designing methods and community-based research practices, aimed at understanding policies and bridging the digital divide in Minority communities in Nigeria, Africa, and the United States. She advocates for the inclusion of marginalized communities in education and technology.

Her academic research interests intersect the interdisciplinary areas of community informatics, information literacy, diversity and social justice, computer-supported cooperative work, user experience, and information access. She looks forward to having an information center that engages marginalized communities, especially children and women.
