PROJECT

Navigating Healthcare Careers, Empowering Futures

This project was initiated to develop a workforce training and digital literacy curriculum for adult learners pursuing healthcare careers, with the intention of the final curriculum complementing the impactful work already being done by the Support for Workforce Training (SWFT) program at Parkland College. The project was concluded successfully with the development of a curriculum consisting of 5 learning modules. This collaboration with SWFT began based on findings from two years of established partnerships with local community groups serving low-income households to address Broadband and Digital Inequity issues in Champaign and Vermillion Counties (see Broadband and Civic Empowerment Project).
